Developer Dazzozo has updated his mkey generator tool (parental control unlock) with support for the Nintendo Switch. The tool also supports unlocking parental control for the Wii U and the 3DS.
This works up to switch 3.0.0 included. Switch 3.0.1 is not supported at the moment.
From the official site:
This tool generates the “master key” (unlock code) for 3DS, Wii U and Switch parental controls.
Usually, one would have to contact Nintendo for this and explain the case, or have it emailed to the account holder on file.
The main advantage of this tool is that it supports the current algorithm (10 character inquiry number).
Yeah. So, this is to use when you forgot your unlock code for Parental controls. Definitely not to bypass the parental control code set up by your parents…
And to parents: Tools like this one exist. It’s probably better to discuss and agree with your children on what they can and cannot do, rather than trying to enforce such things with technical means. Your kids are smarter and more up to date than you on what tools exist ? Just my 2 cents. Well, for now you’re safe on 3.0.1 though.
This update comes after Nintendo updated the keys in Switch firmware 3.0.1. It appears the developer had actually updated his code a while ago, but made it public recently, after developers disclosed what 3.0.1 has changed. Developer SciresM had described the Parental Control master key algorithms a few days ago on switchbrew.
Additionally, those interested can grab the source code from the developer’s github here.
